My personal "model"

Today I did the unthinkable and tried to take photos of Brecken. I wanted to set up the National Charity Model Search background and practice a little bit so I grabbed my guinea pig and attempted to get a few cute shots. I will say it again--taking photos of your own kid is NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE. By the time I gave up, I was hot and sweating and once again reminded why I very rarely try to take pictures of Brecken with anything other than my point & shoot camera! But, after I downloaded the photos I found a few cute ones, so I guess it wasn't a total loss! I do think it's ironic that the best close-up shot I got of him is one of him without a smile... because Brecken is ALWAYS smiling. But I love it anyway. :)

For those of you signed up for the National Charity Model Search, here is the background we will be using! As you can see, bright, bold colors look awesome up against the dark grey... make sure you bring a lot of color for your child to their session!

And for those of you who aren't signed up yet... there are still spots available! Email me at erin@lifeinpicturephotography.com or give me a call at 605.641.9664 to make your child's appointment.

Okay, here are the photos of my naughty (but cute) 2 1/2 year old!

And some just for fun... Brecken got a new Elmo shirt from his Uncle Jared and Aunt Erica in Chicago in the mail today so we had to take a few shots to send to them!

No, he's not actually doing yoga or anything... he was
explaining something to me (he talks with his hands like I do!)
and I caught him blinking. I think it's hilarious!

This look says "I'm done," ha ha! :)
